In 1982, the Gananoque Canoe Club was purchased and converted into a magnificent theater containing 360 seats. Located directly on the St. Lawrence River in Gananoque, Ontario, the Thousand Islands Theater presents a wide variety of classic and contemporary plays from around the world. As host of one of the largest summer festivals in Ontario, Thousand Islands Theater is always looking for ideas, concepts and new plays in order to offer the best to their clientele.

The theater experienced a failure on their existing conventional system. This needed a complete replacement. The new addressable system includes Maple Armor FW511 smoke detectors, FW721 hand stations designed for new ADA requirements, and an FW851 isolator module to accommodate conventional zones in the system.

Thanks to the user-friendliness of Maple Armor systems, the replacement was successfully completed by three technicians in one day.

With over 50,000 guests each year, we are proud to be Thousand Islands Theater's first choice when it comes to fire safety.
