New Rechargeable Batteries Now Available

Maple Armor rechargeable backup batteries for fire alarm panels

Maple Armor is now offering a complete collection of sealed rechargeable batteries sized for its FireWatcher control panels and NAC boosters. The new accessory line lets distributors, electrical contractors, and service companies source panels and their backup power from the same supplier, cutting paperwork and making standby-load calculations simpler at quotation time.

One Supplier, Full Coverage

The catalog covers the full range of amp-hour ratings typically needed on a Maple Armor bill of materials. Both 6 V and 12 V cells are available, with sizes chosen to match the standby and alarm requirements of our FW105, FW106, FW106S, and addressable NAC booster products. Every battery ships with an 18-month factory warranty and is clearly labelled for easy ordering and stock rotation.

All batteries use sealed valve-regulated lead-acid construction, the same chemistry that has defined fire alarm back-up power for decades. The cells are drop-in compatible with existing Maple Armor battery trays and enclosures, so there are no wiring harness changes or bracket modifications required when specifying the new line for retrofits.

Why a Single-Vendor Battery Line Matters

Fire alarm systems are only as reliable as their weakest component, and batteries are an item that quietly ages every year until they are asked to perform during a power outage. Buying panels and batteries from the same manufacturer means the standby-load calculation, the battery part number, and the recommended replacement interval all trace back to a single data source. That simplifies audits and commissioning paperwork.

It also simplifies warranty claims. If an issue ever does arise with the combined system, there is no finger-pointing between panel and battery vendor — one call to Maple Armor technical support covers the entire chain. For distributors, it means one purchase order, one invoice, and one shipment handling fewer SKUs.

Ordering and Documentation

Datasheets for each part are available on the Maple Armor website, and our sales team can generate a recommended battery part number from the panel model and total standby load. Installers should continue to follow CAN/ULC-S524 and local AHJ guidelines for battery replacement intervals, typically every three to five years depending on site conditions.

Talk to your Maple Armor representative or authorized distributor for pricing, stocking packages, and lead times. The new batteries are available now across our Canadian and U.S. distribution network.
