Maple Armor took the FireWatcher platform on the road to the 2022 NFPA Conference & Expo in Boston, one of the largest gatherings of fire protection professionals in North America. The show brought together engineers, authorities having jurisdiction, consultants, contractors, and manufacturers under one roof at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, and our team spent the week meeting with partners old and new.
Showcasing the FireWatcher Platform
Our booth highlighted the FireWatcher addressable fire alarm platform, with hands-on demonstrations of panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification appliances. Visitors were able to trigger live alarm events on a working panel, watch the annunciator update in real time, and walk through the module and booster accessories that complete a typical installation.
The show was also an opportunity to introduce newer additions to the catalog. Addressable modules, latest-generation detection devices, and accessories such as rechargeable batteries were on display alongside the flagship control panels, giving visitors a full picture of the system architecture rather than a product-by-product snapshot.
Conversations That Matter
Trade shows are about more than hardware. Over the course of the expo our business-development team connected with distributors looking to add addressable panels to their lineup, integrators sizing up larger projects, and consulting engineers comparing manufacturer offerings for upcoming specifications. Those conversations help us understand where the market is heading and where our platform fits best.
Boston as a host city also made for a great backdrop. Between sessions, attendees could explore one of North America's most historic cities, and the NFPA education track ran in parallel with the expo floor, covering code updates, emerging technology, and the practical considerations of commissioning complex systems.
